For ease of initial use, most of the templates employ the bullet add-ons which are scripted. However, if you need CSS bullets you can define them with the parent settings for the main or sub items. Set the bg-image to a local or live (http://) image, then set the bg-repeat to 'no-repeat', and finally position the image with the bg-position property.

CSS bullets can optionally use different hover and active images.
